  1. Hi everyone, I am a nursing student from texas. I just wanted to know if we need any work experience before applying for the NCLEX exam or before we actually get the license. I dont have any work experience in hospital field except the clinicals at different hospitals. So if we need experience than i need to start some externship programme. So please guide me for my querry about the requirement of work experience before board exams. Thanks :)
  2. I am a second semester nursing student for an ADN degree. I want to apply for nurse externship in nearby hospiatals in dallas, texas. Can someone show me a nurse extern resume, so that I can make mine. I have never worked in a hospital so I dont know how my resume should look like. I need to look at somebody's sample resume. Please help. :wink2:
  3. I am in the first semester nursing for Associates degree. We had our first test of this semester and I didnot do good at all. I really studied hard my text book Fundamentals of nursing by Potter and Perry. But still hanging there. Can someone refer me a book where I can practice critical thinking questions related to the book. First semester is more basic with topics like Ethical and Legal part, Physiological and psychological condition of clients, etc. I have reviewed few N-CLEX books but they have too much higher level topics which we have not covered at all. So please guide me.
  4. Hi !!! I have a quick question. Do nurses have to always work in rotating shifts. I really dont like night shifts, so can i get any job in which they just have two shifts to switch 1st and 2nd shift and not the third one. I did a lot of job search but most of them write with them that they are with rotating nights and stuff. So i am just confused that can i really get a job which does not have a rotating nights in them and if i can get that which is the best field for that. Thank You.
  5. Hi, I have started my career in a community college for a ADN degree. But i am really confused if i am doing the right thing because I wanted to do bachelors but it takes four years so i dont want to spend that much time. My question is what is the salary difference and work status difference between the two different degree holders. How much do a Associate degree RN earn ?
