  1. I am very new to the idea of travel nursing, so looking for as much input as possible. I am looking to move to the DC metro/N. Va area this fall. Is it possible to be a travel nurse but stay in one city? Which companies provide private housing, as my boyfriend would be with me... or is that even a possibility? Any agencies to avoid? I have 21 months experience on a busy interventional cardiology floor at a major hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Also have worked in pediatric home health for 4 years (I know that doesn't matter much to a hospital). Is the pay that much better as a traveler if you take housing? Just looking for some ideas on where to go next. I already have my VA nurses license, I need to get my DC one soon. Thanks :)
  2. I know there has been many threads regarding jobs in Atlanta, but most seem to be from years ago. Later this year I might be considering a move to Atlanta, but definitely want to do my homework. I currently work at a nationally recognized hospital on an interventional cardiology unit. I have 1.5 years experience as an RN and was a LPN for 2 years prior to being an RN. I hold a second job doing home health for critically ill kids, experienced with ventilators and all aspects of trach care. Is the job market terrible due to the poor economy? My concern is that I'm not seasoned enough to be considered for jobs. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I will be graduating in May with my LPN in Columbus, Ohio. I am looking into online programs to finish my RN or even BSN. I know Indiana State offers an online program for a BSN. My main question is what programs require 6 months (or similar amount) of work experience first? I would like to start into a program right away. I am very interested in Indiana State, does anyone know anything about that program? Thanks
  4. I am currently in school for my LPN in Columbus, Ohio. I am wondering if there is any certifications I can complete while in school? My program includes IV certification... is there other I could do before I pass the NCLEX-PN? Any suggestions would be a great help. Thanks
