Factory worker one day ... nurse the next?
I am a factory worker now a nurse, automotive plant too, I made A's in nursing school and have been a nurse little over a year now. All my patients tell me they thought I have been doing this for all of my life, and what a great nurse I am. I am not patting myself on the back, but us factory worker grunts know hard work and doing your job right the first time and on time, I have seen some of the long time nurses that have no pride in their job and are just there for the paycheck. So before you make judgements about us lowly factory auto workers , check us out we have work ethic needed in this job.

how are you paying for nursing school? or how do you plan to pay for nursing school?
I was an auto worker, lost my job to the economy, dislocated workers paid for mine all the way down to my socks literally, uniforms, books and I got unemployment the entire year and then some. There are programs out there just have to do the search for them.

LPN = Life's Perfect Nurses
I am an LPN and I work side by side with RNs and the only difference at the facility we work at is they draw blood and we dont the rest is exactly the same work, they will tell you some LPNs can run circles around them. The pay scale is different because of their education but they will tell you LPN school is no joke it is intense and not easy. The RNs making the crude remarks just show their ignorance and the type of people they are and we all know there are those type people everywhere. I am proud to be an LPN , took a large pay cut from a UAW job to become one because it is what I want to do, an no ignorant , small minded person will make me feel bad about the choice I made.

I had very poor LVN/LPN training. Anyone else?
Wow I just realized how wonderful my program is, my teacher is a Ltc in the reserves and she is adamant about making us the best nurses on the face of the planet I have only been in school 3 months and have already learned more than some of the posts on here during their LPN training, I feel so unworthy to even speak to y'all, I have such a high respect for nurses since I have gotten in this program, thanks for making me realize what a great school and teacher I have! I am excited to one day be in the same profession with y'all I realize now what it takes to get there!
