Monday is 8-5 but I'm not sure about the rest of the week

Yeah I figure your going to hear mixed reviews no matter what hospital you work at. I can't wait to see the new facility when it's completed

Fanny pack lol. I needed that laugh this morning. I actually got the master cardiology black edition. During clinicals a nurse let me use hers and I was surprised by how good it works. I only got one set of the royal blue/black. It's starting to feel surreal after Monday we'll be able to officially sign as an RN. I think I won be able to sleep come Sunday night. But everyone that I tell I'm starting my career at Parkland in the ED tells that I will gain great experience and knowledge. So I'm ready to start this new beginning.

Grey's Anatomy and I think they're called Wink scrubs are really nice scrubs. I was told that there's a Scrub's and Beyond near Parkland that offers discounts so I may go by there to get more scrubs

Yeah I got 3 sets of scrubs, my new Littmann (grad gift) whic I can't wait to use, an a notebook for notes, got some trauma shears from a flight nurse promoting their company and pretty much everything else I have from school. Monday is almost here and I'm super excited that we all will be starting our careers in our dream jobs ????

Yeah Monday is business casual but not sure of the rest of the week.

The recruiter said it was 28 ER spots

I'm not sure. I know at 12 we'll (ER residents) will be meeting with out manager

I think it will be a combo of new grads and new hires new to the facility. I have a friend who's starting resource pool and she'll be there Monday as well

I graduated from Weatherford College. I live here in Weatherford so my commute will be like an hour both ways. Not that bad though.

Have you moved to Dallas yet or are you waiting until after we start Monday.

I hope u get it by Friday. What school did I graduate from? I think I got my GN permit the next day after my ATT.

So you haven't gotten the official offer letter as of yet. That's what the last email I got consisted of.

Yeah I know I'll definitely be up extra early. Probably won't be able to sleep on Sunday night lol

In the folder it was just that I9 form and orientation info. But I got the offer email with the letter.

NewdaisyRN did she say exactly what additional information we should be receiving. I'm glad we can manage to get info from each other because I feel so lost about next week.

There wasn't nothing major in there. I-9 form, the sheet about orientation (directions and attire). When I finished up with occupational health I asked for the recruiter and she came and gave me it. But she was under the impression that we had received the folder during the interview. The I-9 form she said to bring to orientation.

It was in the new hire folder she gave me when I went did my drug screen

Forgot the paper also said to park in tower garage on Monday and then we can sign up for parking after that

On Monday orientation is in the MacGregor Wood Day Auditorium which is on the 1st floor in the main hospita @8 doors open @7:15. To get to the auditorium after you get off the shuttle and go through the breezeway go through the main doors and it should be there. It's business casual. I'm assuming the nurse educator will tell us on Monday what we can wear for the nursing orientation. I know the only email we should be getting is the one containing the official offer letter but I'm not sure exactly what day that will be this week.

That's good. I have a few classmates at Cook Children's. 2 in NICU, 2 in med/surg, 2 in the ER and 1 on the SS observation unit. I hear good things about Cooks. You will love it there.
