  1. Carry 50 pairs of gloves with you, trust me your going to need them:lol2:
  2. Sometimes I hate my job as a CNA, after work I take a shower and go straight to bed because im so exhausted lol. Its very tiring and emotionally draining but I'm still going to continue my nursing education. A Nurse and a Nursing assistant job descriptions are worlds apart. You shouldn't think that just because you hate your job as a nursing assistant you will hate your career as a nurse. The Nursing assistant job to you it not a means to and end, its just something your doing to gain some hands on experience and earn some money at the same time. Don't feel bad because a lot of us nursing students are in the same boat as you questioning whether the Nursing profession is for them just because they had bad experiences as a CNA. That's why enjoy this website soo much! You don't feel alone in your daily plight in the nursing profession. Although this profession is very stressful, it's equally fulfilling. Continue to post on this website, laugh, cry, rant and share your feelings with all of us in the nursing field. We will get through this stressful but fulfilling field together:)
  3. Hello everyone, I'm an 18yo male currently trying to decide what career path would be best for me. After researching quite a few careers in which 1-2 years programs are available such as nursing assistant, medical assistant, medical coding specialist, radiographer, and surgical technician, I have decided that Nursing would be my primary option. My main problem about the career is the concern of ADN RNs inability to find jobs because most employers are hiring BSNs. Is this true? The majority of my sources are colleges that might just be pressuring me into a BSN program for the money. To be honest I would be content with any entry level staff position available. I guess in a nutshell I'm concerned about the job outlook for ADN RNs in the near future. Any thoughts and comments will be extremely appreciated, Thank you. P.S. sorry for the long post lol and if it helps I live in the metro area of New York
