  1. hi, it is okay. Try again and pass the test. This is our only ticket to our dream. I applied in the Philippines. :)
  2. Hi Guys, I have received my EOR and unfortunately, it remained the same. Good luck guys. Try and try until we succeed. There is no room for giving up... :)
  3. Hi Savonian, I think it would take 8-10 weeks, I have no idea if it is business days or it includes weekends. Maybe due to long holidays last month, there was no ample time for them to recheck it.:) Just pray and God Bless to both of us! God Speed!
  4. Good luck skye56
  5. Hi bbclondon, I have read in some forums that both their writing and speaking score were increased. You can usually see those threads in British expat forums. Good luck and God Bless!
  6. Hi Juvaila, Yeah, it is true, that asking for remarking is very expensive indeed. However, if you are really sure that you have scored higher than the score that you have received, then I would go for it. I think, we are even in the same situation, since I also need all 7 in every category for one sitting. But, I have score 6.5 in my writing task as well, so, I am still waiting for my remarking result. I keep on praying and hoping that there will be changes. If you think you deserved a higher score, then I would recommend to go for a remark. God Speed and Bless!
  7. Hi, I am still waiting for the remark. I am hoping and praying tightly that there will be changes in my score. :)
  8. Happy new year to everyone!
  9. Hi, It would be better if you ask the center, since overseas it will take 8-10 weeks. And I am still waiting for mine...Thanks:lol2:
  10. Hi Sattara, if you really wanted to do bridging program, you need to submit all the requirements to AHPRA, then they will give you a letter of eligibility for Bridging program. Also you must be aware that the type of visa that you will need while doing the competency program may vary from which school you will be attending. Most universities can have student visa, while other colleges and institutes will need a different visa, usually a business short stay visa. If you have relatives in Aussie, and you want to apply for skilled migration, you can opt to have 176, while if you do not know any one at all,you can have 175. I really cannot give you any advise as of the moment, since I have not filed my application to ANMAC, since I am waiting for one document to arrive and hopefully I will have it by next week and with good result (In God's Grace). If you choose to be under an agency, always be careful, since most agencies will provide you a misleading information, of course we know that they need money, but there are only few (very few) agencies that are doing their business sin good faith. I could not recommend any agencies as well.,
  11. Lolz:lol2: My mistake. It should be bobby.
  12. Yes, booby is right. AHPRA or any agencies in AU requires 7 in all categories. 6.5 is just for those who would like to study nursing but to get registration you need 7. Also remember that you need to sit for an Academic IELTS test, since most of the agency would require you to get a General test. DIAC, ANMAC and AHPRA requires Academic IELTS test not General.
  13. Hi You can proceed for ANMAC assessment, since the ANMAC assessement is require for either sublcass visa 175 or 176. However, in order to practice as RN in AU, you need to register to their nursing board which is AHPRA. AHPRA require all nurses from overseas to undergo bridging course to become a registered nurse, unless you belong to those countries that are not required to render a competency program. It is like this, ANMAC is for skills assessment in order to file for immigration application in DIAC. Remember, ANMAC do not register nurses. AHPRA is for you to gain registration and in order to work as RN in AU and requires you to complete the competency program. If you opt to apply for ANMAC for assessment, you will need to choose the full assessment, since this is the only option for overseas nurses that are not yet registered in AU and wanted to work in AU as RN. I hope a explained it clearly, lolz.
  14. Yes, now I remember you are right. Because my cousin who was an RN in London for nearly 8 years decided to be an RN in AU, she was required by Nurses Board of Victoria before to attend a bridging program. She was a registered nurse from the Philippines but decided to become an RN in UK. It is true that they might waive it, however, there are so many issues that AHPRA are dealing as of the moment due to unclear policies that they have implemented and one of it is IELTS, but they already made a clear statements on this last August 2011 and it again affected thousands of nurses in AU and overseas. Thanks for the clarification...
  15. Hi bobby, I will. I will not close this forum, since I believe it will help more people like us to understand more about the type of visa that they need to apply. Currently, I am gathering all the documents needed.
  16. Good luck to us and I really appreciate all the information that was shared in this forum.
  17. Wow, that is great, you have higher points compared to mine. I was considering Ireland before since they have also great vision for nurses with good renumeration as well. Yes, all overseas nurse really needs to undergo bridging and I have not heard anyone who was excluded from the competency program coming from the Philippines. And I really appreciate the information that you gave me.
  18. Hi, Thanks for this one. Yes it is true that in order to practice as a nurse you need to have at least 3 years experience now, before it was only a year however DIAC increased the number of experience to three years, which I am happy that I am working as a nurse for over 3 years. I already have the assessment letter from AHPRA, I am weighing everything now. Although there are thousands of nurses doing bridging in AU, there is there shortage of nurses and doctors. I really do not know why. But I am still happy for this since they can cater more nurses abroad.
  19. Hi bobby, Yes it is true, since overseas student under temporary visa are charge with higher fees like for instance they need to pay 12,000 AUD for bridging course, however, if you are an Australian citizen or with PR which has almost the same benefits with their own citizens, you are only required to pay let us say 1,500 AUD, which is much more inexpensive. From what I have read from ANMAC, if you are an international RN wishing to migrate in AU, you need to undergo a full assessment which cost 800+AUD while for those international RN that already finished the bridging course and successfully registered in AU need to choose the modified assessment which is around 300+AUD. For full assessment, once you have an approved letter, you can file this to DIAC and if you wanted to become an RN in AU, all you have to do is request to ANMAC to have your credentials forwarded to AHPRA, which is much more easier. Yes, I have my relative in AUS, and we are trying to consider this option instead of doing the bridging first, since I have enough experience for the points system in DIAC.
  20. Hi chx_rn, I am planning to get the full assessment, because it would save me more than half in tuition fee if I am in PR status. I am currently reading all the information from ANMAC. Thank you again for the additional information that you provided. Are you form the Philippines as well?
  21. Thank you for your response and I really appreciate the information that you gave to me, you gave me hope:yeah:. Currently I am scanning all the requirements needed by ANMAC online. Are you applying for this type of visa as well? Thanks:D
  22. Thank you for your response, so there is a slim chance that my application will be approved? Also, do you know the website address of ANMAC, I had been looking for it but i was not able to find it, I only got ANMC which was an old name of ANMAC.At the same time, it would be better for me to undergo a bridging process prior to applying for the 176 visa.:heartbeat
