I live in Florida, I'm not a nurse yet; however.......I've lived here 18 yrs. (from Michigan) and I think the way people are down here is terrible!!!! No ethics. I can't believe the things people do and get away with it. I stay for the weather (winter) but as soon as I graduate, I plan to move to N.C. or Tennessee. I hear the wages are good, and I'm sure the cost of living isn't bad. The weather isn't as drastic as that of the midwest, and the people are nice. I want nice people with good ethics to work with and for in my near future. rdy2go

I am so glad I came accross your thread!! I want to move to either Tennesse or N. Carolina once I get out of LPN school. These are the states I'm most interested in. Can you tell me what area of NC you live in?? I don't want to live in a "big city" but I don't want super small either. Anything within a 20 mile drive of a good job would be worth it for me. Curious, What is one of the main "specialties" that are in high demand for a traveler? I actually haven't started LPN school yet, but my plans for the future are to travel. I ask earlier in my post "do LPN's travel too" didn't get any reply. Can someone fill me in on that. I also read about how much of a nightmare it is working in a hospital setting ( doctors treating you bad, being treated like a housekeeper, and waitress) is this really what it's like in a hospital setting????? If so, maybe I better thing of settling into an area of nursing were this kind of treatment is less likely to happen. Lots of questions, but would like to hear back from anyone that has the knowledge. Thank you, rdy2go

I guess I'm just afraid of failing, and need to realize that I'm in a different place now in life, and that maybe if I just take it one day at a time and follow your advise I will do just fine. I also want to know if anyone can tell me, do LPN's travel too like the RN's do?? Thank you!!

Hi, I am 45 yrs. old and have never "gotten" math. I am planning on going back to school for the LPN first, then the RN. I am really terrified of the math part of it. I am really not good at math, but really want to be a nurse. Is this possible???? I haven't been in school for atleast 18yrs. I know basic math. Algebra is hard for me, but I think I can get it with some help. Do you think this is possible for me??? I appreciate your advise.:uhoh21:
