  1. Hi there, I am new and have a question for anyone with any suggestions. I have been traveling as an ICU nurse, but recently I was offered and accepted an OR postion (for less pay of course). The problem is that I have another contract starting next week in an ICU and I am not really interested because I really want to get more OR experience and then start traveling with that. So which job do I take the OR or the travel ICU position??????? By the way I might ruin my chances of ever getting hired with these facilities in the future.

Hey everyone, I have been reading this post since nursing school and now I have decided that I need help from my fellow nurses. Currently I am an ICU traveler, but I really love the OR. I have about 5 months circulating/scrubbing experience, but to travel I need a full year experience. I would really like to travel as an OR nurse. I have technically/verbally "accepted" another ICU position with my agency, but there is also an opportunity for me to get back into the OR as a staff RN. My recruiter is so frustrated with me, because I honestly don't know what to do. Do I fulfill my "commitment", or go back into the OR, get the time under my belt and then go from there and potentially damage the great relationship with my recruiter? I'm so confused, I have until Wednesday to let them know. Any help you all have would be great.
