  1. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I am a 3rd year nursing student. I was given a community placement starting in Sept. at a shelter for abused women and children. I am not woking under an RN and am wondering how to approach this placement. I have to do health promotion in terms of giving two hour long presentations and speak with each client individually. I am to take their health histories and can do assessments. Any tips of making this placement all it can be would be great. Thanks!
  2. I'm a second year nursing student and was wondering if assertiveness is an important part of "your" nursing practice? And if so, how? This question is part of a presentation that I'm doing on assertive behavor.
