I didn't take pre- reqs while i was in high school but i graduated high school a semester early and I still had to get financial aid, but other kids that took classes while still in high school also had to pay for it. Although some classes in high school count for college credit like college algebra~ I'm taking my pre-reqs for my BSN now...I just HOPE i get into Nursing school!! GOOD LUCK!
  2. I live in Wichita and work at the clinic on McConnell! I was in Flight Medicine helping with records with a clerk position. While I was there, I helped take our stitches and watched many minor procedures. Now I am in the orderly room doing strickly paper work and having nothing to do with the medical field. I am currently going to school at Cowley and I will hopefully be applying for nursing school at Butler in May! But the more and more I read on this website it seems like it is SO hard to become a nurse, the schooling, the hours, the stress! I am getting a little bit discouraged. I would love to work in a hospital setting doing something but because of school and having no type of certification I dont know what I can do! Any adivce/help? Any nurses in Wichita that have some advice or help that they can give me??
