Platt?
well i was accepted and scheduled to attend platt in their february lpn program. it was almost too easy.....after doing some extensive research, i have decided not to go to platt. they are not accredited by the national league of nursing and that's a major downside. they are not even pending accredidation or scheduled for a visit. not to mention that the tuition is too costly. anyone who gets their lpn diploma from platt will certainly have a hard time getting into an rn program or going for their bsn. you will be hard pressed to find a college to accept you unless you graduated from an nln accredited school. anyone out there thinking of attending platt.......think again. you will have way more options if you graduate from an nln accredited school. good luck to all of you!!!:monkeydance:

Anyone going or went to Platt????
Please help!!! I just got a slot in the February LPN program at Platt. I have heard bad stories about them and I have also recently discovered that they are NOT accredited by the National League of Nursing. I really dont want to waste any more of my time or money on a bad program. Does anyone know how important it is for a school to be NLN accredited??? Or does anyone have any GOOD stories about Platt?? The hours are perfect for me and the school is right down the street from my house. I dont want to give up yet:o

Platt RN's?
I am also supposed to start the LPN program at Platt february. I had also planned on going further to RN with them as well. I guess we are in the same boat because I have heard plenty of bad things about Platt. I have also recently found out that Platt is NOT accredited by the National League of Nurses. It was a bummer for me and I am having second thoughts now about attending. The hours are perfect and the school is right down the street from my house. If you hear anything GOOD about Platt, please let me know. I dont want to give up yet. Also, do you know if going to an accredited NLN school is really important or not????

Does it matter if a school is NLNAC accredited????
I have just been accepted into a practical nursing program at Platt college in Oklahoma. They seem really nice and have been very informative. I know a few people who are graduating from there this month and they seem very pleased with their experience. I did recently find out that Platt is NOT accredited by the National League of Nursing. They are however approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. I was wondering how important it is for a school to be accredited by the NLN. Does it matter??? I would really like some insight before I invest any more time or money into this college. PLEASE HELP!!!!:uhoh21:
