  1. Hello, Glad I found this site, I have a few questions for you experts. I am 34 years old and have spent the last 10 yrs in pharm and medical sales, I have learned alot of disease states and have or experience as well, that being said I am completely dissatisfied with my professional life and have considered nursing for some time now. I live in Long Island New york and have found a few schools that offer lpn programs at night, as well as several online facilities as well. I guess my question is what is the best way to get started keeping in mind I need to keep my day job right now? Can I begin a career with just an LPN and progress from there? Lastly, can you please provide me with a realistic salary expectation? I know I will be walking away from alot of money but I really don't care at this point in my life, but I do need to know if I will be able to pay my mortgage...thanks in advance for your help.
