  1. I took my forms directly to them...
  2. I was wondering if anyone might be interested in a roommate situation with me as a fellow nursing student. I'm going to be in the Night and weekend classes and I believe the classes to be at the Deerwood campus which is right down the road from me. My roommate is moving out on December 5th and thought it would be awesome to have a nursing student at FCCJ be my roommate. I live at 9A and Gate parkway... literally 5 minutes away from FCCJ Deerwood. It's a 3/2 condo on the first floor and you would be getting the master bedroom with bathroom and walk in closet(big). If you are interested and would like more details please feel free to message me.
  3. I was told today Book Vouchers won't be available til Dec 17th... if we need our books before that like one person said before on here... well were SOL
  4. Hey Hun, don't even worry about it. When the time comes do a 150% appeal and let them know you applied and got in and are currently a nursing student and they will grant you the financial aid. I had to do it because I already have an AA from FCCJ. I got it in 2005 and was at UNF until now so. Anyway, don't fret. You'll get the aid!
  5. IF I were any of you I'd call NorthSide Medical Clinic NOW! Their prices are MUCH lower! I paid a total of $158 for my physical, ppd, tetorifice, and titers. This is FCCJ pricing... The physical was $35, the Hep B titer is $22, the Varicella titer is $30, the Rubella titer is $17. The vaccines for the Hep B are $50 a piece(3 shots times $50), The Varicella is $75, and the Rubella Vaccine is $65. Hope this Helps! PS. I just saw someone else posted the pricing before me haha... as you can see I didn't read all the post and was concerned that everyone was going to pay so much money!
  6. Solantic was one of the places I called and they wanted double what northside medical clinic wanted... so did my regular dr... who in turn is my gyn. So, yeah they're def cheaper. I had all of my stuff done when I got my drug screen done. I go back tomorrow for them to look at my arm where they did the ppd. and possibly have my titers back because we have to turn that in apparently. There is no appointment necessary for you to have anything done there... but do expect to be there 2 hours as I was!!! As far as uniforms go I would just go ahead and order all of it from that site. That way you don't end up with something you can't wear. Also, I would get drawstring... elastic just looks and feels weird. I hope to God I can use my book voucher if we have to get all of our books that day otherwise the credit cards coming in the mail are already maxed out! This is what I got them for so... so be it! I think our shoes have to be white leather... look in your packet though.
  7. Ummm, are book vouchers available to us on the day of orientation?
  8. So, I think I'm done or really close to being done with everything. I did my finger printing, drug screen, and physical exam today with all the titers and shots too. I also did the background thing online and faxed in the paper it said to. So, am I done? I'm gonna have to look through it again and just make sure. Now, all I have to do is buy everything! Luckily, I have two credit cards headed my way to help with that! Otherwise, I'd be broke! BTW, Northside Medical Clinic where you get your drug screen done has special FCCJ pricing for the physical exam, titers, and shots. So, if I were you I'd go there if you don't have insurance. It was much cheaper then the other places I called!
  9. its the 26th
  10. IF you got in I got in... yay! I had a 203 so I'll be seeing ya in the nights and weekends... that's if i dont switch!
  11. sweet!
  12. Do you know how to go about getting a grant to pay for the childcare at FCCJ? thanks, Jen
  13. that lottery stuff kinda stinks... especially if you have a son like me and will need to figure out childcare... does anyone know if you can trade with someone who might want what you have? :monkeydance:
  14. What is HTH? :monkeydance:
  15. I've also applied for the spring 2008 class. I've been thinking about my scores and such. I have a 203... and I feel confident I suppose... should I? :) I'm hoping to get into the night and weekend classes so I can also work but I'm not sure that's such a good idea. I rather focus as much as I can on school especially considering I have my son too :) Does anyone know about the childcare program at fccj? Another issue is paying the bills and for everything I need for the program. Does anyone know about grants, scholarships, etc? Thanks and Good Luck to all!
