Just took RN NCLEX
Congrats Iowa I Care! I do not feel as exhilerated as I thought I would. I think it is because my best friend failed. Or Maybe because I still feel traumatized from nursing school!

Just took RN NCLEX
I took my NCLEX yesterday and it shut off at 88. I took an NCLEX prep course and was a very good student. I did the Kaplan question trainer and was getting in the 70's and 80's on the test. Kaplan says if you get a 65% on these you will pass. I thought this was the hardest test I had ever taken. My two friends each took it with me. One shut off at 75 and one at 265. We are all in a daze like we were ran over by a truck! We went straight to a bar! We still don't know our results!

new nurse in emergency nursing
Dear mikejsmithrn, I am also a new nurse that just graduated nursing school. I have not taken the NCLEX yet but have been hired by a huge hospital and taken into their critical care internship program. When I would shadow the ER and ICU's some nurses would say that i didn't belong there until I did MEDSURG for a couple years. Others were very supportive. But I know me better than anyone else and I don't quit! I feel this will be like the first day of Nursing School. I survived that! I now have to decide ER or ICU? They are letting me decide after I do the 16 week internship. They seem to have alot of confidence in me so why shouldn't I? I think you will be fine! I keep telling myself I have alot of new updated skill that I am bringing and I pray for help in all that I am lacking in experience! Good Luck!

July NCLEX Takers come on in!
My sister-in-law just passed the NCLEX with 110 questions. She swears that if you know you answered your last question correctly you passed. I just graduated nursing school last Friday and am waiting on my authorization to test. Our nursing school paid for an NCLEX prep course for us. I study that material daily and do the Kaplan test taker question bank daily. The instructor of the prep course said that every single person that leaves an NCLEX feels like they failed it. I am sure that you prepared for this. Look at how hard your efforts in the pass have paid off. The odds are in your favor! Within hours you will be an RN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gee now I have RN envy!!!!!!! Good Luck!
