Absolutely agree- ask questions! I worked with a great staff, manager and CNE and didn't have any issues. I can see how, given the right circumstances, it would become a "catch all" job (and, to a certain extent, at times it was for me. I would take an assignment if we were short multiple nurses, or fill in as charge PRN. This probably happened approx. once per month, and usually I was filling in as charge). For me, it also ended up being a great position to put on my resume. It was a leadership role, and it really helped me to advance my career.

I did this for a few years and it was, honestly, the best job ever. All of the fun of a Clinical Nurse Educator (supporting staff at the bedside) and none of the added responsibility. It was a great role.

Thank you both. It was my first and only presentation- I wanted to include it, but it looked silly standing alone. I think having an "odds and ends" section is a great idea, and I actually have a few other projects I can put in there. Thanks for the advice!

Hello! Looking for some resume advice. I'm applying for a teaching position, and would like to list a presentation that I did at a national conference last year. Google is telling me to use AMA or APA style, but it just doesn't look right on a resume to me. How have you folks on allnurses done this before? Thanks!
