  1. yep, they sure will! I was told that JHH didn't, but as long as you have some kind of experience in an ICU (extern or leadership), they'll hire you... I'm also applying at Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown... and they all hire new grads into their ICUs. Good luck with school... it's crazy, but worth it!! :)
  2. Hi -- I have an interview coming up in a couple weeks at Hopkins - Main campus - in the MICU and General Surgery ICU. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience or knows anything about these units? Also, does anyone know the current new grad hiring rate at JHH? I'm also going to apply at Bayview, too, but the recruiter there said to wait until March for that... Thanks in advance! Adam
  3. hello -- i'm a junior in a bsn program and will be seeking licensure in nc. i've plead no contest to a dui and a domestic assault charge (both misdemeanors in 2006). i've already inquired and the nc board of nursing said they would still grant me a license given these charges, so i'm not too worried about that. my concern is though about employment. of course, i plan to be honest when applying for jobs. both of these charges resulted from a terribly dysfunctional relationship that has been over for a year now and i certainly intend to keep a clean record! does anyone have experience with something like this? i'd love to hear some feedback... especially from someone that is/was in the same boat or a manager or hr rep. many thanks!
