Lilly, there is no way around the 3.0 GPA to get into APU school of nursing. It would be great if you could get your sciences (anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and microbiology) done before you apply (but not necessary). In reviewing the applicants we look for GPA, science grades, work experience and leadership. We do not admit to the nursing program straight from highschool. We look at the first semester college GPA (3.0 needed) to enter the program. Not sure what you mean by job opportunities. Many of our students work as nurse assistants after they have completed their first medical surgical course. Professor Chandler
