I recently passed my NCLEX-PN on the 23rd of September thus enabling me to unleash a flurry of applications and resumes to various hospitals and healthcare institutions across Ohio, hoping one of them looks and says "now, HERE's a chap we want working for us!". OK, the "flurry" was actually only 16, and I know that employers don't typically decide to hire you simply from looking at a resume, but nonetheless I got a bite! (this is the part where my mindless rambling actually means something) I have an interview scheduled for monday the 13th (tomorrow ) with a Correctional Facility not far from where I live, and I was wondering if I may gain some insight as to what would be acceptable attire to wear. I'm a male so I know that I can get away with the suit and tie gig, but do I really need to go that far? I was thinking of something a little more casual but still "dressy". I have a darker bluish-gray long sleeve button up collared shirt with a black undershirt (I like layers), black dress pants, black shoes/ belt, and a smile all laid out. Will this suffice, or is a tie necessary too? This is simply my plan, but opinions are greatly appreciated. I want to dress for sucess but still be comfortable in what I'm wearing.
