  1. How hard is it to go from being a nurse to being a doctor. I want to be a midwife, but was wandering if it would just be worth it to go for my Ph.D. and be an obstetrician. I'm not even in the nursing program yet. Just working on my pre-reqs. I should be in it next semester. I am really afraid of not being able to make it through med school. That is a ton of money and if I can't make it then that is ALOT of debt. :uhoh21: I can become a midwife in about 6-8 years. Doctor in 8-12. Does anyone have any expierience or adivice for me?
