  1. I know CRNAs from my hospital go on these missions, so it is possible. I am just not sure about the legal part if they have to be supervised by an MD
  2. I am a student nurse anesthetist graduating in a couple months. School is VERY demanding on your time, but after that you can write your ticket to any time you want that will work for you and your family. I would suggest if you haven't started a family yet to wait until you graduate from the program to do so. But, if you do have kids it is doable...there is a couple of people in my class that have children, I can just imagine it is a lot harder to budget your time. I too wanted to be a doctor and changed my major to nursing knowing that I wanted to become a nurse anesthetist because I felt it was the next best thing and I am very glad with my decision!
  3. I am a SRNA graduating this year, and relocating to Boston. I am not familiar with any of the hospitals or anesthesia groups. I was wondering if anyone currently working in the Boston area has any thoughts of the different anesthesia groups/hospitals - good or bad info is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
  4. I don't graduate until next year, so I am in the Oct. 2008 one
  5. Hello, I am registered for a Valley Anesthesia course and I already have an old version of memory master that my friend gave to me. I was wondering if anyone has the flash cards if they like them, and are they worth buying??? Thanks so much.
  6. I LOVE my palm Treo phone. It is nice that your phone and palm are in one and you don't have to worry about 2 devices. There is a great program I bought that is called Anesthesia Central. It has all stuff about the surgeries, complications, Davis Drug guide, and some other stuff included. It is nice because you can get online access as well, so for careplans it is so nice to just copy and paste instead of having to retype it all.
