you can check the California website of consumer affairs under registered nurses and continuing education providers and type their license number.. you'll see that they are a valid company until 2009..their trainings, however, should be used for the purpose of "desensitization" when you start working in USA as all their equipment and lectures are according to 2005 AHA guidelines. the certificates are not AHA certified because AHA doesn't allow out of state trainings. it is certified by American Safety and Health Institute as a Basic Training Center. your only edge is that once you are in the States, the equipment/procedures will not come as a shock to you since you came across them during the trainings because let's face it, no matter how long you've been working as a staff nurse in the philippines, an entry level nurse in the states is a completely different scenario.. if you have money to burn and you're still waiting for a local job (bec we all know how hard and long it is to get in as a staff nurse here in manila), then go ahead.. skills enhancement and continuing education is always good for an RN.. Just dont rely on these trainings solely because what good are trainings and seminars if you dont practice them in the ward..
