Indiana State University
well, i dont even have that many pre-requisite classes to take, so I dont know if I should even go through TCN. The thing is, when I met with someone from TCN, they were ready to set me up and have me sign a contract when all I really wanted was information about it. The person was kinda pushy and tried to argue with me about how he couldn't believe i wouldnt just sign up cause it would be easier to go through TCN, and saying stuff like, most people are always in rush to finish school (which i dont doubt) however, im single, dont have anything really to worry about, so I can actually sit in a classroom. It was weird, but I havent signed with them, just waiting to hear from ISU.

Indiana State University
Hey all!! Ok so I applied to ISU and i live in VA, hoping to get on the LPN-BS track. Anybody have any information about the program and how it is?? Distance learning wise?? I've heard nothing but good things about this program but I just wanted feedback before I get into something I can't get out of without wasting money. Anyone know if credits are transferrable??

I passed my NCLEX!!
yeah actually it wasn't even a quick results thing. the way it works here, im not sure if it works the same way in Californina, but out of school as a new graduate, we can work as a LPN/LVN-A for 90 days till we get results from our NCLEX. Anyways, instead of calling quick results, a way to see if you passed is to call the board of nursing or go online to their website and see if you have a license. Obviously, if you passed your nclex, you'd have a license and if you didnt, your name wouldnt even appear. So technically, having a license available means you passed. get it?? or did i just confuse you? like i said, im not too sure how california is, even though i was raised in CA. San Diego is my hometown. I absolutely miss it.

I passed my NCLEX!!
i definitely knew for sure and had that gut feeling that i had failed the nclex.. literally.. i told my mom and my couins.. and was over the fact that i failed it already. It was more of a shock to see my name up there than anything.. and i tested in VA. im in good spirits today... and all smiles!! yay!! :balloons:

Thanks to everyone for being so positive and giving some great advice.. I'll take that into consideration when i take boards to be an RN in the future!!

Did not pass my nclex-pn...
Still speculating i guess..but i dont wanna believe it. i mean it makes sense cause if people in my class found out the next day that their license was released then if i passed, my name would be there, but its not. i guess ill wait for actual results in the mail till i get a final answer. hah. itd be kinda surprising if i really did pass though!!

Working in the urgent care..
I am an urgent care nurse.. a new graduate and sometimes i feel like everything is still kinda new or I feel like I dont know certain things when i feel like im supposed to know these things?? Does anyone ever feel that way?? Like I know the Urgent care is almost like a mini ER so to say, so sometimes I feel sooo overwhlemed cause theres soo many things to know.. such as immunizations, all the other medications like antibiotics etccc.. putting on casts.. its just stressful sometimes cause its alot to take in as a new grad. It definitely is alot different than the hospital, I can say that.

Did not pass my nclex-pn...
Thanks for all the replies. Actually the only reason why I know i didnt pass was because usually the next day, you can call and see if you passed by calling the board of nursing. If it says they have a license for you then obviously you pass, if it says name cannot be found, you know you failed. A bunch of classmates found out that way, and I think mostly everyone passed except for me soo far. But im in good spirits knowing that next time i will pass. I do have the nclexpn Saunders. I answered questions from there.. but maybe next time i need to sit down and really review the book and go through the CD. thanks for your help guys!!

not sure I passed the nclex -- help!
hmm.. remember the nclex is an adaptive testing so it gives you an easy question and then a harder one. the nclex also has a minimum of 85 questions and maximum of 205. Its different for everyone, like how i failed at 86 when someone has passed at 86. I know its stressful.. waiting for results, but stay optimistic. Im sure you did fine.

Did not pass my nclex-pn...

hey you know if it cuts off at 85 it means you usually passed.. theres a bunch of threads on here that say cut off at 85.. its ok mine cut off at like 86.. such a random odd number.. one above the minimun.. and I believe I failed.. so no worry.. everyone i know whose cut off at 85 passed..
