I am new to this site and find it very insightful. I am a NICU nurse with 25+ yrs. experience. I see that there are many NICU positions available and I have interviewed with 5 of the hospitals there, some were union and some were not, even though they may have belonged to the same corp, like the Valley Health system, which I found rather interesting. Pay was comparable, so I'm wondering what union represents the Nevada nurses, and what does the union do for you? Also, any suggestions/comments as to which hospital to go to? I interviewed with St. Rose, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Sunrise Children's and Valley. All but St. Rose offered a sign-on bonus. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, there seems to be so many different communities. Any suggestions on where is a nice place to live?
