  1. hello everyone. i would like to ask for any advice or suggestion regarding my situation. here it goes: I passed my NCLEX last Dec. 2007 and registered for my license last February 27, 2008. I just found my name in the Illinois website and it showed that my license is going to expire this May 31, 2008. I am concerned because SSN is needed in order to renew the license. You see i still don't have an SSN due to the fact that i'm still here in the Philippines. I am planning to call IDFPR which is the professional regulation office of Illinois. It worries me because if i'm not able to renew my license this may render my license not active or invalid. I would like to hear from members and moderators of this forum to give me some advice on how will i present my situation to them (the IDFPR). I would like to think that somehow they would give me some consideration since the period from my date of registration to the date of expiry is such a short span of time.
  2. hello guys. i took nclex last dec 4, 2007.. i had 75 questions. it may sound weird but i believe i may have had the most number of SATA questions given in an nclex test (out of 75 ques given) i had 12 SATA.. i really could not believe it. i seemed that every question thrown at me was SATA. i had 3 calculations and about 2 meds the rest were priority and delegation.. no herbs. after waiting for 48 agonizing hours i finally knew that i passed! May God bless all future nclex takers!
  3. i would like to share this prayer to everyone who will take the test in the coming days.. St Joseph of Cupertino, who by your prayer obtained from God to be asked at your exams, the only preposition you knew. Grant that I may like u succeed in my NCLEX in return I promise to make you known and caused you to be invoked. St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for me. O Holy Ghost, enlighten me. Our Lady of Good Studies, pray for me. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, seat of divine wisdom, ENLIGHTEN me. Amen i said this prayer before my exam. i prayed a lot and most of all believed in myself that i could make it because i have prepared well enough for it. Good luck and God Bless to all especially the december test takers. my prayers are with you.
  4. To all future NCLEX takers especially from the December Group I would like to share to you my experience and preparation with the exam. I studied for about 2 1/2 months. I used Saunder's comprehensive book (i have not read the entire book from cover to cover but i was able to answer all the test questions after each chapter). I was more focused on doing practice questions. i did NCLEX 3000, Kaplan QT, Lippincott 8th ed., and some of EXam Cram and of course the CD that came with the Saunders book. i answered all the questions twice and i really mean twice..i could already even memorize the questions, choices and answers. It reinforced my knowledge all the more. if i could remember it right i answered about 300-500 questions a day. i know others would think that it is absurd, yah i know however it worked really great for me. the pressure to accomplish my daily goal really pushed me through. i passed the NCLEX with 75 questions, and it's quite amusing that after the 8000 more or less questions that i have answered, i only had 75 questions in the real test..lol.. My personal advice to all Nclex takers, take your precious time in going over the questions in the REal exam. dont rush and stay calm as possible. free your mind from worries and concentrate. if u do not know the answer, take a deep breath, say a little prayer and in a little while you'll be able to let go. whether you answered that item correct or wrong if u maintained your composure you will be able to perform well throughout the entire test. May God Bless all of us! and may the blessing of knowledge and wisdom shower upon all NCLEX takers especially this month of december.
  5. To all December Test Takers Support Group, thanks a lot for your prayers and words of encouragement! :balloons:I passed NCLEX-RN with 75 questions on my 1st try last Dec. 4..:balloons: To God be the Glory! This was my NCLEX experience, i had 10-12 SATA (so many!), priority and delegation, some meds.. I finished the exam in 2 hrs and 15 mins. when the computer stopped at 75, i thought God has indeed answered my prayers. i answered every item very carefully and read the questions a couple of times to make sure i understood it correctly. One thing that help me get through the exam was maintaning my composure. i have always prayed to God to help me keep my cool when i encounter difficult questions and seemingly confusing options. i offered my exam to HIM, and believed that my hard work will be paid off..and it really did. after 62hrs (not 48), quick results delivered my status and it stated that i passed! i am so happy.. a very wonderful Christmas gift to myself! To all my fellow december test takers, continue to study and master the art of answering practice questions. add constant prayers with it. that is the perfect formula for beating the NCLEX! i wish u all the grace of knowledge and wisdom! believe in yourself! God bless all of you!

  9. hi fely just got off the phone with a personnel from PRC Manila. She told me that they are still in the process of encoding the license numbers of those who registered into their database. For now they are encoding those who registered in the central office (Manila office). Registrants from the provincial offices are not yet encoded because according to her the said offices forwarded them their list on a later date. I asked her if there could be any chance that we could apply for license verification in Manila this December without the hard license at hand. She said that we could do so, since they have the database in Manila (the hard license would not be necessary). However she could not promise that the encoding would be finished until the end of this year, she advised me that January could be the earliest time for us to do the application. I believe that answers our queries. I guess i just have to postpone my sidetrip to PRC Manila next week and reschedule it maybe on the last week of January.
  10. hi fely, i was about to call PRC Manila when i read your post. i guess i have to stick with the info you got. i am going to manila next week and i'll try to go to PRC and request for a license verification. i hope i could process it there. to dave: i would like to ask, how is the application for verification done in PRC Manila? i am not sure if it is the same thing here in PRC Davao. i really don't have a clue. can i get it done in less than a day? i only have like 4 hours to spare because that's the only free time i have before i fly back to davao. i hope you could give me some directions. thanks a lot.
  11. i am planning to call PRC Manila this week. i'll let you know if i get some useful information. God Bless u too! Ü
  12. thanks lawrence for your prompt reply. i already asked about the license verification here in PRC Davao and was told that i have to have my hard license first before they will entertain my application for license verification for CGFNS. i have already done the same license verification last year but unfortunately i have to do it all over again because i was part of the june 2006 passers that's why i took the whole test all over again. my license last year was released 4months after my registration date. for this year i registered last oct 17 and was told to claim my license after 6-8months. i am now thinking of doing the application for license verification in manila since PRC Davao just like any provincial office would cause me too much delay.
  13. i would like to ask if the hard license would not needed to apply for license verification at the PRC. i have already registered but i was told that ill be able to get hold of my hard license 6-8months after. i can't wait that long since i will be applying for visascreen this january. i registered here in davao. im wondering if i could do the application for verification in manila, would it speed up the processing? :icon_question:thanks for your replies.
  14. suzanne, are there any updates regarding the cgfns reply to your email about the NLE and CES?
