Is that so!? but my school was Kaplan test prep and I think they don't know about courses for nurses. Is it necessary for me to take the certification first then apply for work? what should I do?

hi. I am currently in the USA with a student visa. I have a BS in Nursing degree back in the Philippines. I just recently passed the NCLEX-RN exam and now I am a licensed nurse. and here is my question. Are there courses or certification that I can take to be a licensed dialysis nurse? If there are, what school are those who offer such thing. thanks in advance! or, are there schools that caters on-the-job-training experience here in the USA? since I am a foreign student, I would like to know and experience the real hospital experience in the USA.

ok thanks for the input. A friend of mine told me that it is just the front page that is important since she already given her program verification form in her first application. Yeah! I guess that is the best way to confirm. I will be calling the BON tomorrow. thanks...:yeah:

hi. its been a year since my sister last took the NCLEX-RN exam, and she is decided to take it again. I have the retake application form. The nursing program verification is kinda confusing me. Do I need to send the program verification page to my school again? Because my sister told me that she had done that on her first application for the examination. thanks for you help

im not quite sure whether you need to pass the readiness exam in kaplan in order for you to take the NCLEX exam again. As far as I know, they only need a proof that you attended a review class. I think that is their main concern...

I just passed the NCLEX last dec 24 and I am also waiting for my license to arrive by mail. A friend of mine told me that it will take a month but im not that sure though.

THanks for the fast response. I was hoping that it is gonna be easier since I will just be retaking the exam. Now I am thinking if I reapply from California. Do you think it is better to just apply in California rather than applying for retake form from Vermont? since I wanted to work in California?

hi! I am John and I am having problem answering the retake application in Vermont. I took the exam last december and unfortunately I failed. Now that I am trying to apply for my 2nd exam and it seems like the retake application form has been changed. I have this 5 page form from Vermont. the first 4 pages are ok. but the last page is a bit confusing. Do I need to do the last form? or is it optional? please help...

im very sorry to hear that. i am deeply sad with your story. I am also a nurse in the philippines and I usually prick myself with the syringe used in foley catheter for the balloon. I had pricked myself 3 times. and now. I think I dont want to handle needles anymore. Is it safe to be pricked by that? the one being used for making a ballloon in the foley catheter?

I failed in my NCLEX exam and planning to retake here in the US. Can I take the NCLEX exam even if my tourist visa is expired?

Some of my relatives say that it is going to be easy looking for a job even If i pass or fail because some hospitals process your paper for as long as it needs nurses. How true is this?

I am from Philippines and currently staying in Everett, Washington state US as a tourist for 6 months (until February). I will be taking my NCLEX exam here maybe this November. here are my questions: 1. If I pass my NCLEX, If I cant get an employrer who will help me process my papers. what should I do? 2. If I dont pass my NCLEX exam, Is it best for me to just go back in the Philippines and wait the retrogression to stop? because I wanted to be a legal worker in the US.
