  1. Hi All, I'm currently a 2nd semester CLC nursing student, and I'm always looking to meet other CLC nursing students. Good luck to those of you still trying to get into the program, and enjoy the new curriculum once you do (I've heard it's way better than the one we are going through)! In general be prepared to study all the time and be pretty stressed most of the time. Don't get discouraged though, we all feel like we are clueless at some point. Just keep pushing ahead and it gets easier! Take care all!!!
  2. Thanks for the specific course listing. I've been reviewing them on CLC's site all day, and you are correct. It looks like I will have to take Intercultural Communications and Microbiology. All others seem okay, thank goodness! Retaking Micro is bad enough!! Thanks again for the insights.
  3. Wow! Thanks for all the info! I actually called CLC this morning, and found out about the night program. I applied to the school this morning, requested my transcripts be sent, and am going to see a counselor on Monday afternoon. I have not taken the NLN test, but did take a similar test called the NET in Columbus, OH, and scored very well! Hopefully I can do it again here. I don't think I'll be able to get everything done by September 5th, so I may have to settle for Fall 2008, but if I can get it done I will. I am also planning on going to the information session on September 4th. If transfer credit goes well, I should have all my prerequisites complete. I have a BA from NIU, and I have all the sciences from a community college in OH. I should just have the Nursing classes left if all goes well. Thanks again for the info, it was very helpful. Do you like CLC, are the counselors and staff helpful? Is it easy to manuever through registration and such? Just wondering. Thanks again for the Info!
  4. Hi All, I'm new to this site. Just moved back to the North suburbs of Chicago (Lake County), and am desperately looking for a nights and weekends nursing program. Any suggestions? It appears all programs in this area are daytime. I'm really bummed as I had already gained acceptance to an on-line nursing program in Ohio (clinicals on weekends), and had to withdraw due to transferring. I have all prerequisites complete and just have nursing courses remaining. I also have a bachelor's degree in an unrelated field. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
