Hello Everyone, I am an Advanced Practice Nurse working in Labor and Delivery at a Level III Perinatal Center. As we prepare for our move to a new tower the subject of the newborn bath keeps resurfacing. I was wondering if anyone could share a policy, procedure or best practice with me regarding the timing of the bath. Thanks so much!
  6. Hi all, This web site looks like it's going to be a great resource. So.......... here's my first question. Is there something out there that's teaches how to correctly do an abdominal prep for surgery? I work in L&D so we only do the abdomen and we use Duraprep. The info I got from the rep showed how to prep everything except the abd. This problem seems to resurface every 4-5 years. Some people use the horseshoe technique other use the inner to outer technique. I get approx. 6 -8 new grads per year. I would like to incorporate it into their orientation.:monkeydance:
