I am gonna take New York boards.I am working in a medical field so it is not that I am completely out, but still lacking a lot of knowlidge.I am in oncology, have been for 5 years. I started studying in June, using Suzanne's plan and Saunder's book. I have forgotten a lot of things too so I've had to read almost every single chapter. It's been a long, grueling, tiring, and challenging process. There's some days that I just want to quit!! But then I come here, to the forum, and gather strength and inspiration to push forward. I'm currently halfway through the book. I can't wait to finish and start step 2 of Suzanne's plan. I hear she works wonders, so I'm putting a lot of faith, sanity, and patience into her study plan. I can't afford Kaplan's. And being in Japan, it's kind of hard to attend a live review. I heard the NCSBN has a $49 3-wk course available, too. I want to test in Dec. as well so maybe we can do this together. Which board did you apply to? I know it's a national test but I've run into problems with some states, like my home state of TX because it's been so long since I've graduated nursing school.
