Does anyone reading this work at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or know someone who does? I live in Ohio but i've been looking into St. Jude's a lot and I just wanted some basic info from someone who works there or has been there. What it's like, the pros and cons and what not. Anything could help! Thanks!

So one of my best friends called me friday to tell me that her doctor called with the results of her yearly pelvic exam which came back positive for chlamydia. She was given the usual prescription for 1g of azithromycin to be taken in one dose. However as a side affect to the antibiotic, she had extreme diarrhea about one hour after she took the medication. Her question for me was that she wanted to know if the antibiotic had a chance to be absorbed before she had the bowel movement, or if she will have to repeat the antibiotic treatment. Because of the holiday weekend she will not be able to call her doctor until tuesday. I'm not sure what to tell her, so any information i could pass along until she calls her doctor would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I am in my third year of nursing school. I work about twenty hours a week doing office work. So far everything is going well! It just depends on your school schedule and how many hours you personally need to devote to studying. Give it a try and if you cant balance everything, quit. In a couple years you'll be making good money as a nurse, so it will be worth it!
  4. I am in my third year of nursing school working on my BSN and I recently heard that nurses that go into pediatrics are on average paid less. Does anyone know if this is true? It doesn't make any sense to me why they would be paid less, if you ask me they should be paid more! I am interested in pediatrics and would like to know what the pay is like, any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
