  1. Hi all, The hospital I am presently working in is moving towards baby friendly and their has been alot of resistance to the idea from nurses and staff. We are supposed to be encouraging rooming in but not alot of nurses do. We still have the traditional nursery and most babies return there at night. I understand the need for an occasional break and am not one to discourage this but I also understand the benefits of rooming in and would like to educate my patients and encourage it I am looking for ideas as to how encourage moms to room in without sounding preachy. What do you do?
  2. Hi all, I am looking for a travel position in the Raleigh Durham area and wonder if anyone can recommend a travel agency to go with. This will be my first time traveling and I really want it to be a good experience!!! I would like a housing stipend and medical insurance. Any suggestions would be great!!! Please no recruiters!!! Just looking for honest recommendations Thanks
  3. Hi All, I am presently a RN who lives in NJ and who works nights at my local hospital. I am presently working Maternal/child but have 7+ years of Telemetry/cardiac nursing experience as well. I have my NRP and ACLS certifications. My husband and I are thinking of relocating with our family to the Clayton NC area. Here are my questions? Is this area of NC family friendly? What is the job market for nurses like? And most importantly what kind of salary can I expect? What kind of Mortgage/rental payment could a nurse afford if I was the sole provider? Not long term but initially. Here in NJ my base pay for per diem nights is 42.00. That doesn't include differential. I know that sounds high but the cost of living is through the roof. Part of the reason we are looking to relocate. I feel like I am running a rat race all of the time. Any responses would be much appreciated
