  1. ok thanks. the reason i choose not to take it is because i don't think i'll be done in time (for fall 2012) unless i catch one of the 2nd 8 week courses, since the semester has already started. i'm a current emt-b, so i have a good working knowledge of a&p already. thanks for the info! if anyone else knows how hcc (houston community college) calculates their gpa (2.0), whether it soley depends on prereqs or all courses taken, please let me know!
  2. ok cool, thanks. do you think i could wait until after applying to complete biol 2402 and biol 2420? i've been looking at this guide to plan my admission, what do you think about it? i have all the other courses. also, does the minimum gpa that is calculated for admission consist of non-prereq's or is this for all college courses taken? if so, does this gpa include courses not taken at hcc, or is it just your gpa at hcc? i'm confused. some have said it is only for pre-req's (like at lonestar) and a few others have said that it includes all college level courses.
  3. was the gpa calculated for only pre-reqs or all college courses taken? btw, you're awesome :)
  4. someone please help! i need answers! :redbeathe:redbeathe 1. does the minimum gpa that is calculated for admission consist of non-prereq's or is this for all college courses taken? if so, does this gpa include courses not taken at hcc, or is it just your gpa at hcc? i'm confused. some have said it is only for pre-req's (like at lonestar) and a few others have said that it includes all college level courses. 2. for those who have been accepted, what was your status? what was your gpa on prerequisites? what was your overall (all college courses) gpa? which courses did you complete and which didn't you submit?
  5. i'm interested in applying and i have a gpa question, too! hopefully someone can help me! 1. does the minimum gpa that is calculated for admission consist of non-prereq's or is this for all college courses taken? if so, does this gpa include courses not taken at hcc, or is it just your gpa at hcc? i'm confused. some have said it is only for pre-req's (like at lonestar) and a few others have said that it includes all college level courses. 2. for those who have been accepted, what was your status? what was your gpa on prerequisites? what was your overall (all college courses) gpa? which courses did you complete and which didn't you submit?
  6. i'm interested in applying for the adn program at houston community college for fall 2012. infact, i'm quite desperate. i've reviewed all of the admission steps and requirements on the hcc website, but i've been reading (lurking the forums ) and have consumed so much sidelined information that is not referenced to on the hcc website. i haven't attended an information session yet, but i plan to do so before the end of october, maybe even this month (september '11). but, i'm still kind of confused on some things. for instance: 1. does the minimum gpa that is calculated for admission [2.0] consist of prereqs only or is this for all college courses taken? if so, does this gpa include courses not taken at hcc (transferred courses), or is it just your gpa at hcc? i'm confused . some have said the gpa requirement only includes pre-reqs (like at lonestar) and a few others have said that it includes all college level courses taken, even ones that don't apply to the major. 2. for those who have been accepted, what was your status at the time you applied? what was your gpa on prerequisites? what was your overall (all college courses) gpa? which courses did you complete and which didn't you submit? from my understanding, you complete a few pre-req academic courses with a grade of "c" or higher, and you go from there. look at this newly printed info sheet i found on the coleman college for health sciences front page [link here]. seems pretty simple, right? it does not mention gpa or any other specific details. please help! *one more thing, for those who have been admitted or are currently in the program. what are the day and evening schedules like (times/days)?
