  1. oh no!! I just signed w Axis for a job in a very nice hospital in Largo , Fl. The last thing I need is hassle with pay. I did find it frustrating to get a real quote on actual take home pay. I called my accountant. Basically I could make the same working perdiem , but I didnt want to be locked in to one facility. My husband is a scrub tech. He already took job in st pete at surgicenter but we already miss the jobs we left!! Anybody have travel tips for St pete? I will be at Largo medical center. Thanks
  2. Would like very much to have reply eitherPM or post about going as traveller to st thomas. My husband is OR tech and he will go also. I am medsurg offered nights. I have read so many negatives that we are beginning to wonder if we should take this. We cant afford to lose money either. It seems like there are lots of travel nurses there and so I dont understand why pt care would be so compromised. Being creative for supplies is ok, used to do home health in poor rural area. Do want to be safe and comfortable in housing, and going to work at night.thanks
  3. glad it wasnt just me. couldn't even get a call from anyone but the home health division. i have excellent references ,work background ... thought i would be able to get and enjoy job here for a while. Was told that several posted jobs were filled locally. Probably with new grads? I did get offer in missoula and they were super nice, unfortunately we were unable to find any suitable jobs for my husband(OR tech) in missoula.
