I forgot to tell you the house is handicap-accessible...But they don't care about that either!

I called one agency (Mobile Medical Staffing), but they didn't sound too interested. They said most nurses prefer private housing, even if it's far from work. I told the agency that is not what I hear from my nurse friends (who hear horror stories from traveling nurses daily at work). One nurse was saying she arrived in AZ in the middle of the night, the apartment key didn't work and she had to go to a hotel for the night. I believe some people prefer privacy, while others are socialites. Unfortunately, agencies don't seem to listen to the needs/wants of the nurses.

Dear ladies, I am still a student in Az. Three of my closest friends are nurses (ICU and maternity). I have to say, some of the stories I hear are unbelievable. So, thank you for doing your job and making a difference in spite of a broken, cynical system. My friends are trying to talk me into renting a couple of rooms to traveling nurses, so I can go to school full time. Any pros and cons? The advantage for visiting nurses is that my house is right across the street from Mayo Hospital (AZ). On the other hand, I busted my butt to afford and upgrade this house and I don't want someone who will destroy my property. Can you give me some suggestions? Where do I start? Thanks
