I am working as a Personal Care Attendant that for a company that provides home health care. I just found out, after working two 60+ hour weeks that I don't get paid overtime. The profession falls under 'Household Occupations' according to the Industrial Welfare Commission. Does anyone have any input about this? Is it true? Legal? Where's the loop-hole in the labor code that allows this? Any input or information would be appreciated. Thanks.
