  1. correct! good call.
  2. what are you kidding me? apprenhension about women and races? i dont think you read the thread.
  3. true but if i want to study in the library (just for random example), there wouldnt be a big *** is he doing here reaction at a regular campus. im pretty sure the students at the all-female wanted to go all-female because they prefer the company of womens only.
  4. anyone familiar with the elmn program at cal state los angeles? i know the bsn grads are solid at passing the nclex. but what about elmn program. is it good? how are the students? anyone go there? how ya like it?
  5. yeah what ^^^ said. good call.
  6. adn vs vs absn vs bsn vs emsn? i'm torn btwn adn and emsn. pros and cons to each. i'm hoping to read something that will sway my opinion one way or the other. why did you choose as you did? and if you could do it over would you do it the same way again?
  7. Well since you asked, I am in the process of thinking things through. I thought I was ok with being a murse, in a female dominated profession. Shoot, I even thought I was ok with going to the all girl school...but now that the time is coming to commit I'm having seconds thoughts. By the way, its not like the girl school is my only option. Even if I was 100% ok with it, it wouldn't be the first choice.
  8. it means self consciousness would keep me from feelin comfy at an all-female or an all-african amer institution. besides, those females chose to surround themselves with females only, as did the african americans right?
  9. hmmm...case mgmt looks more like my cup of tea. wonder if it can be done with an adn. i'll look into it.
  10. wow. just wow. self consciousness is teh suck.
  11. Awesome. If I were alowed to have a signature, that would be it.
  12. suanna: like what? pca: unless i'm misunderstanding what ive googled, critical pathways looks more like a management or researcher's concern. the question i'm after is how are staff nurses themselves problem solvers on a daily basis.
  13. would you go to an all-women school that allows men into their nursing program? i thought about it but i think i'll pass.
  14. I've always prided myself on being a problem solver. I think I would prefer a career that allows me to express my natural tendency to analyze and solve problems. If nurses are problem solvers, would you please explain how and/or give examples of how problem solving is weaved into a typical bedside nurse's daily responsibilities. Thanks.
