  1. I work in a Acute Medical Oncology Unit with an wide range of sick cancer/ random medical patients. Although I am not in the ICU I feel that I use a lot of critical care type thinking because our patients are so sick (and we have a small er/icu so many of the "icu pts" get diverted to us as long as they aren't in need of vent/ constant monitor, etc). I think that I might technically be able to register/ take the exam, I want to see if there are any other oncology/ medical nurses that have taken the CCRN exam without actual ICU experience.
