  1. Thanks for your response! Sorry, meant to write mileage and on call pay in addition to base pay. Mileage is not included in salary
  2. I recently interviewed at a hospice agency and was wondering if anyone can tell me if this sounds reasonable/managable? RN with a total of 10 hospice patients. Must see each patient at least one time per week (8-5 monday thru friday) and possibly more depending on acuity/pt and family needs. RN is responsible for case management as well. RN is on weekend call every 5th weekend. RN is on back up call 2 times per week with LPN on primary call. This is a salary position with mileage included and on call pay additional. Also, can someone explain what the difference is between case management and field RN? It seems to me that they are one in the same but I do see that some companies have RNs hired as case managers Thanks!
  3. There was mention of the TEAS when I was spoke to someone on the phone, but yesterday I received my acceptance letter as well as the packet of info in with health forms, etc and there was no mention of the TEAS. So for now, it must be the same. I'm sure they will tell us about it in orientation on the 9th. Thanks for your response. Congratulations and best of luck to you!
  4. I understand the TEAS test is now required not only for the traditional program at OLOL but for the accelerated program as well. OLOL's website indicates a minimum score of 67% is required for the traditional (2yr) program. Can someone tell me what score is required for the accelerated program or if there is a minimum score requirement at all?
  5. KinsleyNOLA, I was told over the phone that I would receive an official acceptance letter along with all of the other required documents (physical info, CPR requirements, etc) I still haven't received the packet, but I am anxiously awaiting its arrival. Have you heard anything? Sept 22nd will be here before we know it!
  6. Hi KinsleyNOLA. Yes, I interviewed last week.
  7. Hello. This is my first post! I am finishing up some pre-reqs and am trying to determine which nursing school would be the best for me. I have a BS degree and am interested in going the accelerated route to BSN. The LSUHSC website indicates that clinicals and lecture could be held on weekends and evenings. Can someone explain the schedule during the program and where the clinicals take place? Also, does anyone have any idea what the GPA cutoff is for the CARE program? Thanks!
