I have almost 5 yrs (4 yrs, 6 mo's) years experience as CNA in the Dallas, TX area. I also hold 2 Bachelor's Degrees, but my pay is insulting both my education ($9/hr) and experience. I believe I deserve no less than $12/hr, esp with 2 degrees. Where (meaning specific names) and in which capacity (hospitals, luxury assisted living, home health care, hospice) is this possible?

Hello everyone! Good news!! I've just recently heard that I've gotten into nursing school!:yeah:I'm extremely excited and will be taking some nursing skills courses before I even begin the program. However, I either need to find some ways to pay for it in the Dallas,TX area or receive a scholarship or grant. (I don't qualify for anything from Federal Government because I have maxed out from another degree. I was told that if I was pursuing a master's program I could get support, but since it is not I can't.) I'm open to several ideas. Some hospitals have said they do reimbursement but you have to have worked there at least a year -but it'll begin in the fall. Hopeful 7

I live in the Dallas,TX area and everything is going well academically, however, I haven't been successful finding a way to help financially. Does anyone know of hospitals that would pay for nursing school in the Dallas area? Hopeful7
