  1. Thanks to all of you who replied.I learned something from each and EVERYONE of you..
  2. I Love your answer.Especially the second part "making changes shows..."
  3. I made my decision and im adamant about it.I started out with a passion for Nursing, but I have lost interest.I want to become a Teacher and I think thats my true passion. The money is less, but my happiness is more important than a few thousand dollars.I see that alot of Nurses are cranky, overly confident and burned out.I dont see myself being any of these throughout my career.Nursing school is a challenge and I dont see myself studying my butt off to become something I dont have my heart into.Any imput?Advice?
  4. My friend says you have to be extemely intelligent.I think you should know what you're doing..be able to study well..I dont think you need to be smart to be a Nurse.I know many people who got into Nursing school with a 2.5...
  5. Well put.Are you ashamed of being a LPN?While most people don't know what LPN's do, they will recognize the name.Do RN's have to explain what they do?? They simply say "im a RN."
  6. What evaluation form? You mean letters of recommendations? I never heard of a "teacher's evaluation form" neither...To apply to Adelphi, you need to fill out the application, send your transcript and letters of recommendation and take the NET exam..Thats all.Hope I helped.
  7. I hear so many people in the Nursing field speaking about how much they hate their career! Do you? why?
  8. Alot of people claim they had a passion for Nursing before they even knew what Nurses did.I love the field but I also love the money and job security!!I'd like to hear your imput..
  9. How challenging was it to endure Nursing school while being pregnant? How did you make ends meet? Did you continue with school after your baby was born? Share your story.
  10. I have been waiting to get into Nursing school since 2005.I am working my butt off to get good grades and to ace the prenursing exams.Anyone still optomistic about getting into NS after being rejected a few times?????
  11. I personally cannot live without makeup.I feel plain and unkept without makeup. It's apart of me.It makes me feel feminine. Will I be able to continue wearing makeup up on the job?
  12. How convenient is it ? How burned out do you feel ? Do You, Nurses have to work every other weekend? Finally, how nice does it feel to have 4 days to yourself??! lol .
  13. Why?? Do you find yourself burned out most of the days ?? How much energy do you have left once you go home to your family? Why do you decide to remain a Nurse??
  14. ALL of you gave me some great feedback!!I was touched by the encouragement expressed in most of the posts above. Thanks alot guys!
