    I am returning to work as a RN after several years of taking care of my elderly parents who have recently died. I'm looking at several hospitals in the western suburbs of Chicago and am a little amazed at the current compensation and benefit packages. Is $1.00 an hour a good shift differential in today's market for an AM/PM shift? My starting wage is $24.00 an hour for a AM shift. How much flexibility do I have with negotiating with an employer? I'm new to this website and using the internet to chat so any help would be appreciated.
