Baylor vs TWU
I am a student at Baylor, and let me tell you, first off, Baylor does not have a fast track program and even if they did I would still recommend TWU. I chose Baylor when I got in over TWU b/c I believed the extra tuition would be worthwhile as far as education quality went. Baylor is a much prettier school with newer equipment etc... However, the school is a bunch of badly organized BS with a pretty exterior. I am not saying it is absolutely horrible, but I am saying that if you are going to have to put up with a bunch of b.s. regardless, make sure you are paying less for it at least. I feel at this juncture as though I have been ripped off, I pay about $12 grand a semester for my education, and what I am getting is nowhere near comparable to that price tag. I could go into more detail for you if you wish, but right now I actually need to get back to studying for my finals. Seriously, I'm not promising TWU is all roses, but again, neither is Baylor, so at least pay less. I'd switch programs, but when a few classmates and I checked into it we found that it would significantly delay our graduation since a lot of our classes don't transfer between programs. Good luck!

Shabbos/Religious Observances
Texasmommy, where in Tx do you live and where exactly are you planning to apply? I am a Jewish woman currently attending nursing school in the DFW area and I may be able to give you some specific tips on how to make sure you don't get a saturday rotation, depending on where you might be going.

Evil Nursing Instructors
Most instructors are pretty take it or leave it at my school, but there are a few I have seen who it seems are determined to absolutely destroy certain students. I agree completely about just doing your best to stay under the radar, which also unfortunately means standing by and watching them tear apart some great people and make then question their life goals. I have done my best to be supportive to those people away from instructor's eyes. I don't know why they are so evil, but God they are! :angryfire

anyone have a nose ring?
blessed, I don't know what the exact rules will be at your school, but we actully had someone who had to leave our program due in part to the fact that she had tats on her hand that couldn't be covered up. For us, it's 1 pair small stud earrings, wedding band with no protruding stone, no visible tat's or piercings. I also just take all mine out or have them in places no one can see, it's easier than trying to fight to have it.
