Stanbridge may be high tech but it does not have the pass history of some of the private schools in OC....sure its nice to wave a new computer around but the politics there is so bad the instructors would rather go somewhere else for much less pay than deal with the stuff.

pacific college is old news...so many people are suing it and have reported it to the boards of nursing, vocational and registered, that it is not long for this world anymore. it will go the way of summit and career colleges of america...bye bye to bad schools.

:angryfireYou need to get your stats right....if you look at the Board of Vocational Nursing they have the 2006 passrates....Concorde was 92% which is highest among all the Orange County Private Vocational Schools...

For those of you that want some good information on nursing schools go to Nars-Nars....the website was started by Filipina nurses to help students pick good schools...has contact information from Filipina school directors....good luck

I just joined because a friend of my told me about the posting for Pacific College....if you are considering going there....RUN, RUN FAST, ESCAPE WHILE YOU CAN....if you are already a student there....transfer to another school as soon as possible....any place is better than that place....I am Filipina and it is all over the Filipino community that this is NOT the place to go....all the good instructors have left or are leaving....the only ones there are either only LVNs teaching LVNs or have associate degrees only. There is NO SUPPORT or ENCOURAGEMENT for students...all they want is their money....they are sure there at the first of the term with their checks waiting to be signed....but ask for something like a warm classroom, a toilet that works, handsoap in the bathrooms....forget about it.....the curriculum sucks, the teachers are there for a paycheck and could care less about teaching....the disorganization is incredible...administration always says they are going to meet with you but they lie....the Director of Nursing was supposed to meet with me but talked to me by phone saying she was away from the building....she was upstairs in her office...outright lies....the owner of the school is rude, arrogant, nasty to the students...he has said horrible things like "you will never be a nurse, if you don't like it here leave, I don't care (only he cursed)"....the good instructors have been driven away by the new administration....the assistant director of nurses accuses students who do well of being given the answers to test questions....the environment is so stressful that im sick all the time....Im trying to get into an RN program and they recommend ROP in north county, the LVN program at Long Beach City College, or the LVN program at Riverside Community College....Pacific College is NOT recommended at ALL. Like I said, any place would be better than this place. My friends have left Pacific College and are attending Concorde and American Career College. Both of those schools have been supportive and organized.....if you are thinking of Pacific College....RUN, DON"T WALK....Escape before you owe thousands of dollars for a substandard education
