  1. Thanks for your input guys! Our units nursing instructor told us it does not lyse the blood so I guess its ok we use them.
  2. Hi everyone! I have been a member since June 2007 when I was in my second year of nursing school. I have been an experienced nurse 1 year already. Jan.5 was my 1st anniversary! So my question is, I was trained to transfuse blood through the blue adapter, or the the port you put on the tubing when he patient is Hep locked. Then a couple of months ago I was told I can't do it that way but to do it through an open line and not through the adapter d/t lysing of the blood. Is this true? I haven't found documentation or research which way is better. No sure where o look. Our policy and procedures did not say. JAB77

That won't be my problem...changing answers are my problem. At least not being able to go back and change an answer helps.

What has anyone found to be the most effective way in preparing for the exam? I'm so worried about this exam:(

TraumaRUS, good for you!!! That's awsome. Is it a lot of writing papers? In order to get my BSN at a regular brick and Mortar school, I need to take all these chemistry classes, did you have to do that also? If you don't mind me asking, ball park figure, how much was it to get those degrees?

yes, that is what I plan on doing, ADN to BSN online. I heard the same thing about University of Phoenix. Just curious...

My plan was to graduate in May of '08 with an associates degree for Nursing and as I'm doing the BSN online, I could have a baby. When I graduate, we will be married for 9 yrs, and if I don't do something soon, my husband is gonna leave me-J/K Seriously, I don't want to wait anymore. I just think it will be easier for me. Is it that bad?

Does anyone think getting a BSN from an online school is a good idea? If so, what schools has anyone heard is a good one?
