I can't find a state board in USA that doesn't require a local license from PI?
Suzanne, First of all thanks for all your help. I guess I may be misunderstanding what CGFNS is. So a CGFNS CES does not involve verifying if you are a local board license holder correct? Only if the state requires the CGFNS EXAM would this be the case? Like I said before I cannot go back to the Philippines right now to sit for the NLE. For one thing they only offer it twice a year, and I can't afford the airfare right now nor the time away from work. Even if I have to move to another state, I'd rather just get a license for that state and plan on moving there. Can you please tell me which states do not require the NLE for sure? I think you mentioned Vermont or New Hampshire before but I checked and they both require NLE. So let's say I'm not going to get licensure by endorsement in the future, I only want licensure from a state that doesn't require NLE. Which states offer this?

Which US state will give license even if I don't have license from my country?
When you say NLE you are speaking of the local board exam correct? The only problem with that for me is I'm currently in the States. They don't have any place in the states that allows you to take the NLE. The only way would be for me to go take a trip to the Philippines and hope to pass the NLE?

I just checked VT, it says that they require you to hold a local board license as well. Might be a recent change but that is the requirements now. Any others?

Which US state will give license even if I don't have license from my country?
I have searched almost every state and they all require a local board license from my own country before I can even be considered for NCLEX. I have a BS in nursing from the Philippines. Came here to the states on a K1 visa and have green card already. I'm already working but not as a nurse. I need to know which state will license me by exam and does not require any local board license first. Also I live in Virginia and is also a compact state. If I get license from another state that is not compact state, can I get license by endorsement to Virginia after I get my other state license? Please help, I even emailed some of the boards and they never responded.

I can't find a state board in USA that doesn't require a local license from PI?
So even if I am a holder of license in CA then I can't get endorsed for another state license unless I meet THEIR requirements for the foreign educated nurses? So I assume that if I was not a foreign trained nurse, then there is no problem like this? It would endorse over with no issues?

I can't find a state board in USA that doesn't require a local license from PI?
From what I've been seeing on the internet, everyone I've seen requires the CGFNS certification which means you also have to have local board. Also, if I decide to get license via endorsement, then the only requirement I must meet is that I hold a license from another state in the US. I thought that was the requirement? Are you sure about this? Going to the Philippines to sit in on a local board exam is not an option for me. Please help.

I can't find a state board in USA that doesn't require a local license from PI?
Hi, I was originally gong to get licensed in CA but it appears now they won't accept an application unless you have a local board license in PI. My situation is, I am a graduate of RN nursing in PI. I came to state on a K1 visa so I never got my local license in PI. I am a GC holder via my K1 visa. What states does not require cgfns or local license. From what I read in CGFNS, the certification program requires that you hold a local board license. Which state has the least requirements?

Question on how to put my name on application for board licenseure
I have my Philippines Passport and the Visa I came here with in my Maiden name. However I have a US drivers license, social security card, and green card in my married name.. So should I apply everything in terms of my nursing license in my maiden name and submit the forms along with my marriage certificate? Also, I am currently in the states. How can I take my local board exams? I would have to go back to the Philippines and then take the test there? That isn't possible for me. SO I guess if every state requires the local license then I have to give up on my nursing career?

Question on how to put my name on application for board licenseure
Thanks for the help. I am currently in the states so I don't think taking the local board exam in the Philippines is an option. I need to find a state that will allow me to get a license without needing a license from the local boards. I'd also like to go through a state that does not require language text like tofel etc. That is why I wanted to go through CA but seeing now that I can't use them without a local license, which state should I go through? Also, I can't apply in my maiden name for the state boards because my name is already changed to my married name legally. Could I just submit the transcript request form to the school in my Maiden name but submit my state board application in my married name along with a marriage cert to show why there is a discrepancy between the transcript form and my application?

Question on how to put my name on application for board licenseure
But what about for my transcript request to my school? When I graduated I was still in my maiden name so basically my school has my maiden name only. When I submit my transcript request to my school, should I put my married name or my maiden name?

Question on how to put my name on application for board licenseure
On the application for the license, it asks me to put my name obviously. But my transcripts and everything will show my maiden name and not my current last name. I came from the Philippines to the states right after I graduated and have now just got my diploma after getting married in the states. Should I put my current last name on the application or my maiden name? Since I can't put my married name on the transcript request form because I wasn't married when I graduated and my transcripts show my maiden name. Please help. Also.. I don't have license in my own country in Philippines.. will CA board still accept a written explanation as to why I didn't have license there?
