  1. Hi Nurse community, I have been searching the internet to find out where in NYC I can get Quarr/ Hedis Training. Do anyone out there know?? I will appreciate any input and I thank you in advance for your assistance. Look forward to hearing from you soon.
  2. Hello, all I am a LPN who live in NYC. Do anyone know if they hire LPN's to do chart reviews? I am very experienced in chart reviews. I've worked 8 years in Clinical Research doing data collection chart abstractions and chart reviews. I am a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRC) for over 10 years. I am certified by ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals). I love data collection and chart reviews. If anyone have information please forward it to me. Also, I am willing to go to any QARR/HEDIS Training sessions. I hear someone talking about a CD and a online test? Where can I get more information. I thank you all in advance
  3. Do anyone know of a site that contracts or hire Nurses to do Chart reviews or Data collection?
  4. Hi OneFlyNurz Thanks for your input. Sounds like a bad experience. I am planning to keep my day job.
  5. Hi Lisa1203 Ok thanks, maybe I misunderstood.
  6. That is something that I would be interested in developing. I have worn many hats in my career and auditing/Chart reviews is something i love doing. If there is information on this I would be interested. Hope all is going well.
  7. To all the nurses that have a foot biz, can you share some information on the training, where to get it, and how your biz is doing. Do you visit homes or in a establishment? Thanks and best success.... Thanks
  8. Can anyone advise me on getting more information on courses for becoming a Foot Nurse in NYC? Please share any links that would be helpful too? This seems very interesting. Thanks in advance.
  9. Any nurses out there working with any life insurance companies or mobiles companies.?
  10. That is great to hear that LPN's are in business for themselves. I too would like to do some independently. I love working with adults in a home care setting. I wish that there was a way a LPN could make home visits to do insulin, b 12, lovonex injections, wound care or monitor vital signs as a md request. If anyone out there know how or if this is possible please post any advise. Maybe someone is doing something that we are not aware of independently please post.
  11. I think that is a great idea. There are so many nurses here that is knowledgable in the process and could assist those like us get started. I too is a novice at this and have been reaching out to this forum for guidance so don't give up just keep searching and posting your questions someone here will respond. I read and look for new posting daily. I wish you all the luck.
  12. Nurse Independent Contractors As a independent contractor can you share how the billing aspect go and do you make a written agreement with the family, and do you bill daily, monthly or weekly? Also, do you have to contact the insurance provider to inform them that you is his PD Nurse? Do you make a chart to stay in the home? What other paper work would you have to maintain for the patient? Do the State ever come out to do a visit like in home care agencies? Thanks again
  13. Hi Lisa1203 you mentioned contract with the family. Just how do that go? Sorry but i know nothing about this so your input would be helpful to me and others. Also, once you answer an ad for a private duty case and both parties agree, do you collect insurance information on the patient. Do you have to contact the insurance provider to inform them that you is his PD Nurse? Do you make a chart to stay in the home? What other paper work would you have to maintain for the patient? Do the State ever come out to do a visit. Thanks again.
  14. Hi Chin up, i was reading your post about MDS Coordinators. Can LPN become MDS Coordinators if so where do you get training? Thansk
  15. Wow, Lisa1203, first let me thank you for sharing. This was really helpful. I am literally lost in this area. I now have to see where I can find the penny saver in Queens. I also have little experience with Kids. I've dealt mostly with adults. I will see if any courses out there for peds as a refresher. Now i already have my NPI #. I was shock because i got it is less than 24 hours. I sent off my info. for the Medicaid Provider # Friday and is waiting now. I just want to get a idea how this works. In the meantime i will surf the web (Craigs List) for ads. I will keep in contact with you if I have more questions or guidance ok? Feel free to e mail me at [email protected]. Thanks so much and take care.
