  1. I take it as a male nurse shouting out to the world, "Yeah, I am a male nurse and loving it, SO WHAT?" kinda thing. He has probably heard the "You're a male nurse tee hee hee" jokes one too many times. I think he wants to show that he is a male nurse and proud, unlike some male nurses I have come across who have been a little shy about explaining why they choose nursing as a career to their family, friends, and social circles. I figure more power to him for being "out" and proud!!
  2. Hi all, I just finished up my nursing education two days ago (yay!). I will be graduating with my BSN in two weeks. I am currently in hunt for my first nursing job and I was wondering what some of you all thought about union vs non-union facilities and the pros and cons of both. By the way, I live in Chicago; local examples/opinions/experiences would be a plus.
