  1. XYnurse2B, don't be too concerned. I have just graduated from nursing school and preparing to take NCLEX on Monday June 4th. You are fortunate to have you wife with you (well I guess) Things are going to be weird for you probaly. Not sure if you ever been stuck with your wife for 80 yours a week doing the same thing, same time, etc., but you may find it futile to have a decent conversation with your wife. The major differences you too will probaly have is your learning style. In our class we graduated 8 guys ( none homosexual) and 51 ladies. You are going to find out quickly that guys think completely different about everything, which you probaly know, but when it comes to you entering a "woman's world" you will have to adjust your thought's a little bit. I am 32, married with 2 kids, very fortunate to have an incredible wife that is a physical therapist and wonderful mother, which is the only reason I made it through. I must state: BE CAREFUL!!!! Nursing students are sexual creatures and not afraid to let you know, etc. so BE CAREFUL. In 2 years we had 1 man get divorced and 9 women, not to mention the numerous affairs that occurred. The big thing is that the whole class gets very close and you know what that can mean. Oh well, good luck in the future, I hope and pray that all goes great for you and the wife.
  2. ohmygosh, congrats!!! I am taking my NCLEX on Monday and am wondering if you thing the HESI helped you prepare? We did the HESI at our school this year and according to them I was in the top 3% of the nation in the beginning of our last semester. We took a test near the beginning and then one at the end of the semester; can't say I thought much about their review course they provided at our school though. Not sure what your HESI scores were, I was 1058, but still felt that I should read that Kaplan book. Completed that today, feeling better after studying for 2 days, 2 more to go, then looking forward to being done with this animal. Thanks for any reply about the HESI course, mainly wondering how their questions compared to the real deal.
