Thanks for the replies, your advice was very helpful! I previously worked in a surgical/trauma ICU and now I work in cardiac surgery ICU. I definitely like working with the adult population the best, and cardiac definitely interests me. But my job right now is high stress and is burning me out, I don't know if I'm cut out for it. I also am new to town so I will have to do some searching for NP's. My hospital utilizes a lot of PA's and CNS's, but no NP's for inpatient that I can recall. There are several people on my unit who are currently going to school, and alot that leave for CRNA school. Maybe I will call the school and see if there is a way to contact alumni, thanks again!

Hey all, I am currently working in an ICU setting, and have been for the past 3 years. I am attending grad school in the fall for ANP, part time. I am not very happy in my current job. Any suggestions for a good learning/working experience as an RN for the future as an ANP? I am frustrated right now, still don't feel like I found my nitche yet! Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
