Hi Emily don't feel so bad. I've been waiting to start just a lpn program for 2 years now I want to be a RN but I need to become a lpn just to afford college. There is a shortage of lpn instructers in New Jersey so I was on the waiting list since April 2005. I al;so stink at math. I had to hire a tutor just to pass the entance exam. I'm scheduled to start in August. It took 7 years of cleaning other peoples houses to figure out what I wanted but my mind is set now and theres no turning back. Besides the RN's homes I cleaned were pretty nice. I cant wait till I have my own. Good luck

Hi my name is lora, I'm super siked about starting a lpn program in the fall. It's a full time 1 year program, I have 3 kids ages 16, 4 & 16mos. People have been saying theres absoulutely no way I'm going to be able to do this but I am totaly focused and aspire to become a RN. Am I really setting my self up for failure? I'm willing to make the sacrifices that its going to take. I personally think its a good thing for my family and myself. Are there any other nurses who are mothers out there that can lend some advice& truth to this matter.
