Thany you for your advice and responses!
  2. I also have a Bachelors and it is really hard to get into a program. I have applied to two community colleges in Minesota and was denied entrance. The problems is that many schools have priorities over their own students. So, be careful because you can end up taking courses in on college or university and work hard but will not be able to get into any other programs. 3 of the community colleges that I have looked into applying do have a priority for their own students. In two of those you need to take at least 12 credits and more to have priority.

Hello I just applied to NHCC for this fall and still do not understand why I did not get in. I have a bachelor's and have taken all the general courses in a university with an average of As and Bs. I have a question for you guys. Is it really important to be a student that has taken at least 12 credits to have a shot at getting into the program? Do students of this school have priority over transfer students when they decide who enters the program? I also applied to Anoka Community and did not get in either. When I spoke with one of the advicers she said that I did not earn the 10 points everybody else did by being a student in their school. I find it very unethical since universities do accept and give transfer students the same opportunity but when it comes to community colleges they seem to value how much money you spend there. I guess I am going to have to spend some extra money and take some classes to earn those 10 points. Only if I had known about this priority I would have taken classes there. Has anyone else had this experience?
